The Wilhelm Exner Medal Foundation focuses its activities on highlighting innovative research approaches and promising perspectives from all scientific disciplines and works to ensure that research and science are recognized as the nucleus of a prosperous development of our society. The foundation is supported by the Exner Circle (ec.at), a voluntary association of companies with an affinity for research. In addition to the open competition, the Exner Lectures in mid-May will highlight the work of this year's winners of the Wilhelm Exner Medal, Ferdi Schütt and Giulio Superti-Furga, who follow in a long line of outstanding medalists, 25 Nobel laureates included.
Poster Session – Milestones for a future worth living
Pandemics, wars, climate change, ... have clearly demonstrated the vulnerability of our democratic society in recent years. At the same time, we are gaining a better understanding of how we can overcome these challenges. Every discipline will add to the success of transformation.
Against this backdrop, the organizers of the Exner Lectures are calling for submissions for a poster session on the topic of "Milestones for a future worth living". We are looking for innovative technological, social, democratic or societal proposals and solutions to shape our future worth living. Locally and globally.
The presentation of the posters will take place as part of the Exner Lectures on May 14, 2024, all day, at Palais Eschenbach in Vienna. Students, bachelors, masters, doctoral students and start-ups can participate in their respective categories.
The best ideas will be awarded a prize money, sponsored by esteemed members of the Exner Circle. Participation in the competition is free of charge and also grants free admission to the Exner Lectures.

If selected, please bring the poster in portrait format A0 (841mm x 1189mm) to the Exner Lectures.
