The Hall Of Fame 2020 is now online!

The lecture is taking place again in summer semester 2020!
The initial lecture (together with InfoVis UE) taskes place on March 11th 2020, 15:00 c.t. in lecture hall EI4!

IMPORTANT: in case we need to have any last minute changes to the introductory lectures or any other lecture due to the corona virus, we will announce these changes in TUWEL! Please, register to the TUWEL online course now!

Information

The lecture provides an overview over different areas of information visualization - starting from visual encoding principles over multivariate data visualization, network visualization, visualization of high-dimensional data to scalable visualization for interactive exploration of very large data sets. Thereby, we will also present the use of visualization in various application domains, like the automotive industry or biology.

Registration

Register for the course through TISS until March 17th, 2020.

Schedule & slides

The lecture takes place on Wednesdays from 15:15 to 16:45 in seminar room FAV 05. The lecture schedule can be found in TISS. Shortly before or after the respective lecture, the slides will be uploaded to TUWEL.

Grading

Grading is based on an exam about all lectures given during the semester, as well as attendance of the guest lectures. Exam dates will be offered at the end of the semester.

Lab

The lecture can be extended by a practical lab with hands-on exercises.
