Using the visualization is simple. The following interactions are supported:
- Mouse Click (Left, Right or Middle) & Drag: Orbit the camera around the scene
- Mouse Wheel: Zoom in and out
- Shift + Mouse Click (Left, Right or Middle) & Drag: Pan the camera
The UI consists of the following elements:
- General Rendering Settings
- Display Mode: Selects the display mode for the visualization. The following modes are supported:
- Surface: Renders only the surface of the SES.
- Structure: Renders only the internal structure of the molecule.
- Combined (Default): Renders both the surface and the structure and applies compositing.
- Surface Rendering Settings
- Surface Rendering Mode: Selects the rendering mode for the surface. The following modes are supported:
- Depth (Default): Renders the surface with shading based on the depth of the surface.
- Normals: Renders the surface with shading based on the surface normals.
- Phong Shaded: Renders the surface with Phong shading.
- Flat: Renders the surface with flat shading.
- Step Count: Renders the surface with a color based on the number of steps taken to reach the surface. Darker colors indicate a lower number of steps.
- Attenuation Distance: Sets the distance between the surface and the structure after which the structure is attenuated.
- Reflection Count: Sets the number of reflections to use for the surface rendering.
- Surface Color: Sets the color of the surface.
- Subsurface Scattering: Enables or disables subsurface scattering for the surface.
- Subsurface Scattering Strength: Sets the strength of the subsurface scattering.
- Subsurface Scattering Color: Sets the color of the subsurface scattering.
