VISUAPPS is a web application which enables patients and doctors to view CT or MR data online. To ease the viewing, the scans are registered to a full body model. At the present, the data is registered by basic histogram mapping. However, this method does not achieve correct results in every case. Especially when the scans are not taken over the whole breadth of the body the application fails to correctly align the patient data. Often the resulting slices have the same size as the slices of the full body model, but a higher resolution. In this case, a cutout of the body is compared to slices of a complete body, and the method usually fails to find the correct position. To overcome this problem, I will use integral histograms to compare these cutouts with segments of the full body slices. Additionally, methods to speed up the process will be investigated.
