We offer an open-ended position for an experienced C++ developer (f/m/d) who will support the back-end development of Visdom’s cloud-based setup. Visdom is VRVis’ simulation software solution for decision support in climate change adaption and disaster management.
You will join our Integrated Simulations R&D-team of highly motivated researchers and software engineers who enjoy finding innovative solutions in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. Your main responsibilities will be:
Your job
- Be in charge of the real-time back-end of our software solution Visdom
First year: Add support for collaborative access for many users - Support us in maintaining the Visdom development environment and releases
- Develop Visdom’s algorithms for processing geo-spatial data
Your background
- Very good skills and practical experience with programming in C++
- Experienced with developing custom server solutions based on http and WebSocket protocols
- Knowledge about system setups with CMake

- Salary according to collective labor agreement (IT-Kollektivvertrag) starting at EUR 3.200,- gross per month with overpay depending on qualification and previous professional experience
