Martil Ilcik and Christian Freude won the category "Vienna State Opera challenge" of the VC CultTech Hackathon – Austria’s first hackathon at the intersection of art and IT - with their Project "Indoor navigation system for the Vienna State Opera".
The VC CultTech Hackathon is a hackathon in the arts & culture area. That means the participants are not corporations, but cultural institutions. International experts and startups are invited to solve problems for the participating art institutions through the use of technology. The overall objective of the hackathon is to provide Viennese art and cultural institutions with new methods and digital solutions. The event will be the first of its scale in Europe, targeting multiple areas such as: art fairs, museums, opera, theater, performance and music. It will therefore increase the significance of Vienna as cultural capital of Europe, turning it into a point of interest for arts & culture startups. More information
