Abstract

During the last few years, there has been an increased interest in so-called “Retro-Gaming”, i.e. the hobby of playing older electronic games, either on the original hardware or by using emulation software on modern computers.

This thesis is about the history of electronic games and about an installation which was made for the exhibition "medien.welten" at the "Technisches Museum" (Museum of Technology) in Vienna.
