Abstract

We scanned the Christmas present (see photo) by micro computed tomography. By segmentation we separated the snow globe containing the St. Stephen's Cathedral from its surroundings. The computer-generated images were rendered with VolumeShop. The image on the front shows an exploded view of the parcel interior.

Since its secrets are now revealed, the present will not be opened for Christmas, and indeed, there are hidden creatures lurking inside…

DAS WEIHNACHTSGESCHENK

Wir haben das Weihnachtsgeschenk (siehe Photo) mittels Mikro-Computertomographie aufgenommen. Durch Segmentierung trennten wir die Schneekugel mit dem Stephansdom von ihrer Umgebung. Die computergenerierten Bilder wurden mit VolumeShop erzeugt. Das Bild auf der Vorderseite zeigt eine Explosionsdarstellung des Paketinhaltes.

Da nun seine Geheimnisse gelüftet sind, wird das Geschenk zu Weihnachten nicht geöffnet, lauern doch versteckte Kreaturen in seinem Inneren…
