Image Processing Capabilities

Alice has a comprehensive suite of image processing tools to meet the needs of even the most demanding image processing professionals. All operations that operate on a single image, such as Change Sign, and operations between an image and a constant, such as Maximum, support ROI selective processing. Operations that have definitions in the complex domain operate on complex image pairs as well as real valued images.

Thresholding and Clipping

Pixels whose values lie inside the range may be set to a constant value or not modified. Likewise, pixels whose values lie outside the range may be set to a constant value or not modified.

Linear Filters (convolutions)

Pad, Convolve (Sobel, Laplacian, Smooth, Unsharpen, Gaussian, and user defined), Sobel Horizontal, and Sobel Vertical.

Fourier Transforms (real and complex)

2D Real To Magnitude and 2D Complex. Both operations allow you to choose a windowing function (Hanning, Hamming, or Blackman), that is applied to the image before the FFT.

Geometric Operations (rotation and translation)

Translate, Roll, Rotate, Flip Vertical, and Flip Horizontal.
