Eurographics 2006 - Submission Procedure (Full Papers)
Electronic Submission Procedure
- Prepare your submission either as a PostScript
or PDF file. You can also include material in other
media such as applets and video, but the paper that is to appear in
the printed proceedings must be in PostScript or PDF. We ask you to
follow the standard layout for Eurographics 2006
publications. A LaTeX2e
style file to generate this layout is available (document class,
style file, sample LaTeX2e source, and corresponding PDF
output file). In case you do not use LaTeX2e to typeset your paper,
please reproduce the style and layout in the sample PDF
file as closely as you can in the system you are using.
In either case, please make sure that an image embedded in your paper does not contain transparent pixels (i.e. an alphachannel of a transparent color) because this will lead to problems when the resulting PDF is displayed or printed. - In order to use our electronic submission system you must fulfil the following requirements: a modern browser is used (like MS Internet Explorer >= 4, Netscape >= 4), JavaScript is enabled and "cookies" are enabled (to be able to log in).
- In order to make a submission, you will need to register with the server. Please follow the instructions here to create a Eurographics 2006 login account at the server (deadline has passed). It is necessary to have a login account for reasons of security and protection. It takes only a few minutes to create the account. If you intend to make a submission to Eurographics 2006, it is a good idea to create your login account as soon as possible.
- The submission area is reached via the following link:
- If you are not already logged in when you access this URL you
will be asked to supply your Eurographics 2006 login id and
password.
Attention: "cookies" have to be enabled in your browser for the login to work properly. - You will then be prompted to fill in the online
Eurographics 2006 Upload Form. You will have to indicate
your name and affiliation as well as the title of your submission
etc. At the bottom of the form, you will be prompted to
upload your submission as a PDF or a ZIP or GZIP
compressed archive (created with winzip, pkzip,
zip resp. gzip) containing only
the PDF or PostScript document. In addition to the PostScript or PDF
file, you may also upload one or more other ZIP/GZIP archives
containing accompanying movies (MPEG, QuickTime or AVI), images (JPEG
or TIFF) and/or applets (one archive may contain several files, but
you might want to keep the size small for easier upload). In case of
acceptance, you will be requested to provide all the material for the
CD-ROM conference proceedings at the camera ready submission time.
Attention: depending on the quality of your Internet connection and the size of your compressed archives the upload of your submission might take a long time (upto some hours) during which your browser window seems to be "frozen". Do not abort the transmission or retry until you get some response! We recommend to split 'large' (~ 5 MB) archives into several smaller ones if possible. - From the Upload Form you also have to generate an HTML page comprising the Eurographics 2006 Submission Form. Besides the information you have provided in the upload form, this form includes a declaration that the submission is original work and has neither previously been published nor simultaneously been submitted to any other conference or journal and that you are prepared to present the work at the conference in case of acceptance. Please print the page, sign it and fax it to the FAX number indicated on the form. Only after the signed fax has arrived, is the submission valid and will undergo the reviewing procedure.
- After each successful upload you will receive an email
confirming your submission.
If you have not received a confirmation email after a reasonable amount of time, please contact eg06-submission@eg.org. - If you wish to revise your submission after upload or the data you have entered (before the submission deadline), you can do so by simply going again to the submission area and accessing your previous submission. During the reviewing process, revisions to submissions will not be permitted.

After the reviewing process is completed, authors of successful submission will be asked to provide the final form of their submission by the same mechanism. Material accompanying submissions can be included on the conference CD-ROM which will be given to all delegates.
Authors who intend to submit video material, or other large files are asked to do so early in order to avoid last minute congestion at the web site. For particularly large submissions, please contact the secretariat in advance, in case special arrangements need to be made.
Authors experiencing problems with electronic submission can contact eg06-submission@eg.org. General questions concerning the submission can also be addressed to the conference organizers
