Animations
Animation submissions include all areas of animation such as character animation, real-time "demo-scene" work, game cut-scenes, scientific visualization, commercials etc., and must not exceed the length of five minutes. The work entered must have been created, realized or significantly updated within the past two years. Selected animations are presented to the audience during the conference and are also featured on the Showcase DVD and the Showcase website respectively. The Showcase DVD will be handed out to attendees of the Eurographics 2006 conference, the showcase website will go online after the conference concludes.
The deadline for Animations is Friday, June 2nd, 2006. Please see the Submission Guide further down on this page for procedures and technical requirements.
Interactive Multimedia
The program this year consists of workshop-style video sessions for interactive media. We solicit video contributions (5-8 min.) describing novel interactive work, tools, applications and technical approaches that employ a variety of media types and are outstanding by their innovative interaction concepts and techniques; particularly works and applications exploiting multi-modal and non-standard interfaces. Video submissions should also cover a description of the techniques applied and will be reviewed. Accepted videos are presented in special sessions, which include the screening of the submitted video and questions from the audience to the authors. In addition, accepted videos are also featured on the Showcase DVD and the Showcase website respectively. The Showcase DVD will be handed out to attendees of the Eurographics 2006 conference, the showcase website will go online after the conference concludes.
The deadlines and important dates for Interactive Multimedia are as follows, please see the Submission Guide further down on this page for procedures and technical requirements.

Submission Guide
The submission process consists of two steps: the first step is to complete the online submission form, the second step is to create your submission package and send it to the organizers per mail.
Procedure
Please use the Online Submission Form to provide all required information about yourself and the work you are submitting. After completing the online form, create your submission package. The submission package contains a printed copy of the receipt from the online form and a data DVD or data CD with the following files (see technical requirements below for filename conventions):
- Low-resolution version of your video submission (should not exceed 100 MB)
- Normal- or high-resolution version of your video submission (should not exceed 4 GB)
- Three stills (TIFF, 300 dpi) taken from or representative of the work
- Digital copy of the receipt from the online submission form (screenshot, PDF or HTML page)
If you are submitting to Animations, please include two copies of the disc in your submission package. If you are submitting to Interactive Multimedia, please include four copies of the disc. Again, make sure to include a printed copy of the receipt from the online form in the package.
To make the submission process more uniform, we only accept contributions on data CD or data DVD. Videos may be submitted in any file format that can be played back with a standard installation of QuickTime 7 (see technical requirements below for details).
Once your submission package is assembled, please mail it to:

Technical Requirements
Accepted Media and File Formats
To make the submission process more uniform, we only accept contributions on data CD or data DVD. Videos may be submitted in any file format that can be played back with a standard installation of QuickTime 7. QuickTime supports a number of industry standard media and file formats, so you do not necessarily need QuickTime to produce or encode the files you are submitting. However, please test and make sure that your files play back on a standard installation (=no additional plugins or extensions required) of QuickTime 7 under Windows or Mac OS.
The QuickTime 7 player software is available as a free download from the QuickTime website which also carries a list of all audio and video formats supported by QuickTime 7:
Filename Conventions
The filenames for the required six files on the data CD or data DVD in your submission package are based on your Submission ID. Your Submission ID was created when you submitted the online registration form (the ID is visible on the receipt you received after completing the form). The examples below assume that the Submission ID is "ABC435"... please adhere to these conventions when naming the six files on your disc:
- File 1: Low-resolution version of your video submission (should not exceed 100 MB)
- Convention: Submission ID + "-L" + Extension
- Examples: ABC435-L.mov, ABC435-L.m4v, ABC435-L.m2v, ABC435-L.mp4
- File 2: Normal- or high-resolution version of your video submission (should not exceed 4 GB)
- Convention: Submission ID + "-H" + Extension
- Examples: ABC435-H.mov, ABC435-H.m4v, ABC435-H.m2v, ABC435-H.mp4
- Files 3, 4 and 5: Three stills (TIFF, 300 dpi) taken from or representative of the work
- Convention: Submission ID + Number + ."tif"
- Examples: ABC435-1.tif, ABC435-2.tif, ABC435-3.tif
- File 6: Digital copy of the receipt from the online submission form (screenshot, PDF or HTML page)
- Convention: Submission ID + "-R" + Extension
- Examples: ABC435-R.pdf, ABC435-R.html, ABC435-R.png
