Description

Radiant Foam is a brand new differentiable scene representation. It is closely related to NeRFs but it works on top of an explicit Voronoi volume. Raytacing the Voronoi cells can be made efficient since they fill the whole volume, iterative traversal is straight forward. Read more details here.

Tasks

The main task is a web-based implementation of a viewer for Radiant Foams. This should follow the CUDA reference implementation. Further tasks depend on the project type (Bc. or MSc. thesis, student project) and may include web-related optimization, data streaming, level of detail techniques.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of English language (source code comments and the final report should be in English)
  • Knowledge of WebGL or WebGPU
  • Basic knowledge of CUDA
  • Basic experience with Python ecosystem

Environment

The project should be implemented as a web-based component, either stand-alone or as a part of three.js. Results should be made open-source to the public as a GitHub repository.
