Program
Below, you find an overview of the program for EuroVis 2012. A preview of the printed program is also available for download.
General Information
EuroVis will be proceeded by the
- EuroVA workshop, which will start on Monday, June 4 after lunch and last until Tuesday, lunchtime.
- EuroRVVV workshop, which will be held on Tuesday, June 5 from morning until lunchtime.
The EuroVis program will start on Tuesday, June 5 after lunch and last until Friday, June 8, early afternoon. A detailed program will be available soon.
Accepted Papers
In total, 52 full papers were accepted to EuroVis 2012 after a two-stage review process. They will be published as a special issue of Computer Graphics Forum, the International Journal of the Eurographics Association, and will be presented at the conference. The following list gives the paper titles and author names (alphabetically sorted by title) - a full program will be available shortly.
Accepted Short Papers
In total, 21 short papers were accepted to EuroVis 2012 after a one-stage, double-blind review process. All accepted short papers will be electronically archived and are fully citeable publications. They will be orally presented at the conference. The following list gives the paper titles and author names (alphabetically sorted by title). The full program is available, too.
LabVisit
The LabVisit is an opportunity to see current research results of the major visualization research groups of Vienna. The demos will be given by people of the VRVis (Research Center for Virtual Reality and Visualization), ICGA (Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms, Vienna University of Technology) and CVAST (Centre for Visual Analytics Science and Technology, Vienna University of Technology). The meeting point for a guided tour through all demos will be on Wednesday, June 6th at the registration desk. All demos will be presented in the rooms of the VRVis (TechGate).
Social Event
The social event will take place at Heuriger Wolff in the evening of Thursday, June 7th. The conference fee includes the cost for conference participants. Accompanying persons are welcome and have to pay 60EUR per person at the registration or on site. A bus service will be provided to and from this event, leaving at 6pm from Tech Gate Vienna and back to Schwedenplatz every 30mins starting at 10:30pm. In case one misses the bus, either take a taxi or use public transport following the route described here. The event will end at 11:30pm.
After Conference Hike
We are planning to make an after conference hike in the enjoyable nature in the vicinity of Vienna. The hiking location will be the Schneeberg, a mountain that is about 80km away from Vienna. The event will take place on Saturday, June 9th and will last the whole day. If you are interested, please indicate this here. The costs would be approximately 50EUR per participant (excluding lunches). Either train will be used to reach the Schneeberg or a bus service will be provided to and from the location of the hike.
